Working with other trainers and facilitators, Counselling Matters puts on a variety of CPD workshops and training events for counsellors and the wider public. Most of them are held in our Crosby Road North office.
Upcoming Events
Due to COVID-19 all face-to-face events have been postponed and we are looking into providing online alternatives where possible. ‘Normal service’ will be resumed when we know what the new normal is. In the meanwhile, keep safe and well. See you on the other side.

Emotional Freedom Technique
We have offered accredited EFT Level-1 and Level-2 and plan to provide Level-3 in the future. EFT is a potent and relatively new form of therapy, which is also great for self-help.
Level-1 is open to anyone and provides training sufficient to allow you to use EFT as self-help and for friends and family. Level-2 in the minimum qualification needed to practice as an EFT therapist and is required for accreditation with EFT International, the professional organisation for EFT.
Relationship Counselling Training
Is there something you fancy?
If there is a workshop, course or CPD event you would like to see in Liverpool, please email training@counselling-matters.org.uk and let us know. If there is sufficient demand and we can source a suitable trainer, we would be thrilled to put an event on. Similarly, get in touch if you missed one of our courses and would like to see it again.
Previous Events
We have listed some past events to give a flavour of what we offer. Please subscribe to our mailing list if you would like to be kept informed of future events.

Working Creatively with Teenagers
This practical workshop explored a variety of creative ways that adults can quickly form a strong rapport with this age group. It also considered some fresh ways of overcoming the inevitable “impasses” thrown up by young people.
We aimed it at all those working supportively in a pastoral role with primary and secondary age children: school counsellors, youth workers, primary mental health workers, learning mentors, home/school liaison workers and those who support Heads of Year
