For Counsellors and Counselling Students

Coronavirus Update

In light of the current situation regarding the Coronavirus, COVID-19, we are now offering online or telephone counselling in place of face-to-face sessions. Moving to virtual meetings means that our counsellors will continue to be able to provide support during this extraordinary crisis. If you want to make an appointment, please email or call us on 0151 329 3637. We will do our best to help.

Most counselling courses require students to undertake mandatory personal counselling as part of their course and ethical practice means that all counsellors must have ongoing supervision. In the light of this we are offering the following to all counselling students:

Personal Counselling

We offer self-funding students a 50% discount on our normal counselling rates for the duration of your course. Some courses require a brief note confirming you have attended counselling, without giving details of anything we discussed. Such letters would be offered without further charge.

Individual Supervision

The BACP requires students to have a minimum of 90 minutes supervision for every 8 counselling hours or once a month, whichever comes sooner. We offer self-funding students 90 minutes of supervision for the normal cost of one hour. This offer does not apply to agency or employer funded supervision.

Group Supervision

Part of your supervision requirement can be met by group supervision. Current guidelines allow 50% of the group time for groups of up to 4 people but significantly less for larger groups. We are able to host and facilitate small supervision groups at rates from £15 per member per hour. Please contact us if you're interested in setting up a supervision group.
